Liberals PhoneStream

Your Android phone, on your desktop, over Wi-Fi

Wireless Android screen mirroring and control, streamed over your own LAN. Type with your keyboard, click with your mouse, hear the device audio — with nothing routed through the internet.

Features

Wireless over LAN

Connect over Wi-Fi via ADB. No cable, no account, no relay server.

Hardware H.264 Decode

The video stream is decoded on the GPU, keeping latency low at high frame rates.

Full Input Control

Mouse events map to touch gestures and your physical keyboard types on the device.

Device Audio

Audio is streamed alongside video and played through your computer.

Multiple Devices

Discover and switch between devices, each in its own mirror window.

Guided Setup

A built-in walkthrough handles ADB pairing so nobody has to touch a terminal.

How it works

  1. Pair once: The built-in guide walks through enabling wireless debugging and pairing the device. No terminal, no cable after setup.
  2. Pick a device: Every device on your network appears in the list. Select one and the mirror window opens in its own frame.
  3. Watch and control: The screen streams over your LAN and decodes on your GPU. Your mouse becomes touch, your keyboard types on the phone.
  4. Stay local: Nothing is relayed through the internet. The session lives entirely between your computer and the device.

LAN-only by design

The connection is a direct socket to the device on your local network. There is no sign-in, no session broker and no traffic leaving your premises — which is what makes it usable on corporate and regulated networks.

  • No cloud relay and no account
  • Works on isolated or air-gapped networks
  • Nothing to expose to the public internet

Real-time video pipeline

A custom pipeline pulls the raw encoded stream from the device, parses frame boundaries itself, and hands frames straight to a hardware decoder — skipping the buffering that makes most mirroring tools feel sluggish.

  • Direct H.264 stream handling
  • GPU-accelerated frame rendering
  • Synchronised audio playback

Control that feels native

Pointer input is translated into the device’s own touch protocol, so drags, swipes and long-presses behave the way they would under a finger.

  • Pointer-to-touch translation with gesture support
  • Full physical keyboard mapping
  • Detachable mirror windows for multi-monitor setups

In numbers

  • LAN Only network used
  • 60fps Target frame rate
  • 0 Cloud relays

Why we built it

Remote-control apps usually relay your screen through someone else’s servers. PhoneStream does not. It speaks directly to the device over ADB on your own network, decodes the H.264 stream in hardware, and renders it locally. Nothing leaves the LAN, so latency stays low and the session stays private.
